The University of Minnesota Stroke Research Lab began informally in 2020 when a research fellow requested to transition their mentorship to the UMN Stroke Program. Since then, the Stroke Research Lab has evolved rapidly into a formal research training program for international medical graduates, medical students, and undergraduates who wish to conduct impactful research and advance their academic and clinical skills. Many lab members receive grant funding, present research at national and international conferences, work on pivotal stroke clinical trials, complete honors theses, or publish manuscripts in leading journals prior to matriculating into medical school and residency training programs. Our team looks forward to working with you.
